Public participation & Budgeting

Public participation is the process through which citizens participate directly in the different stages of the budget (formulation, decision making, and monitoring of budget execution). It is a process in which stakeholders influence and share control over development initiatives, decisions and resources affecting them. Successful public participation is a continuous process.
